Our Monthly Meetings
Join us for our monthly meetings, held every 4th Wednesday at 10:30 AM at The Mosman Art Gallery. Each meeting features engaging talks by guest speakers covering a variety of fascinating topics. In addition, we offer a range of social activities, including relaxed lunches, theatre and cinema outings, day trips, and tours—both within the state and, when possible, interstate or even overseas.
Our organising committees ensure there’s something for everyone:
In 2025/26, Club members have already enjoyed presentations on a wide array of subjects. Highlights have included: A talk on how to avoid getting scammed; a discussion by the Director of the Mosman Art Gallery about the artists’ camp at Curlew Cove,; and insights from AUSGRID’s Partnership Manager on emerging power sources and the evolving demand for energy, particularly with the rise of electric vehicles.
Visitors are very welcome at our monthly meetings.
Activities
Club activities have featured Visiting Orange, a Gourmet Getaway to Bellingen and a Blue Mountains sojourn with high tea at the Hydro Majestic.
Outings have included a tour of the back rooms of the Maritime Museum, visits to State Parliament House and a tour of Lucas Heights. Theatre parties have been organised for productions of "Pretty Woman" “Cats” at the Theatre Royal and “Carousel” at the Glen Street Theatre, presented by artists from the Sydney Opera House.
Lunches have been enjoyed at the Little Snail French restaurant and Refettorio, the OzHarvest eatery amongst many.
$2.50 Outings
The $2.50 outings has been launched, with trips to destinations such as Wendy Whitely's Secret Garden, Trips to Woy Woy, Leura and Manly and Australia Square, making use of public transport and combining the excursions with delicious lunches.
Theatre Group
An afternoon Theatre Group now meets at the Cremorne Orpheum Cinema on the first Monday of each month, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
