CINEMA CLUB at the Orpheum
We meet at 3pm on the FIRST MONDAY of the month at the Orpheum for the movie of your choice, followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Gill sends out an email on the previous Thursday, to let you know what afternoon movies are on offer, and where you will meet for dinner afterwards.

Following the quiz most people stay on for a delicious Club meal (really good food!).

$2.50 Outing to Cockatoo Island Wednesday 11th November
We will meet at Circular Quay outside the entrance to Wharfs 4/5 at 9:30am to catch the 9:45am ferry to Cockatoo Island. A ferry from Mosman Bay leaves at 8:54am and arrives at Circular Quay at 9:14am, allowing time for a quick coffee before boarding the ferry for Cockatoo Island, where admission is free.
Our visit to Cockatoo Island will explore the Island’s three different historical phases. Starting in 1839, Cockatoo Island was initially used for 70 years as a prison. After the prison closed, the Federal Government in 1913 bought Cockatoo Island from the NSW Government to become the dockyard for the Royal Australian Navy. The dockyard closed in 1991 after building more than 50 naval vessels for the RAN. The Sydney Harbour Federation Trust has subsequently aimed at transforming the Island into an international Arts precinct.
